A lot of great things happened in 2011 at Dig For Fire, but one of the best has to be addition of Under the Armour editor, Nayim Saati to the Dig For Fire family and creative team. By day he cut a series of videos that we were producing for Amnesty International (Coming soon!) and by night he continued to work on this incredible series with fellow film makers Sir and Dan, collectively known as Left Wrist Media. Needless to say, the DIY spirit of the project, quick smart editing and great sound track had us hooked! Seems we weren’t the only ones. As featured on Jay Z’s Life + Times blog here. Just wanted to take the time to share the finale episode and say that we can’t wait to check out season two!
UNDER THE ARMOUR
While the NBA Lockout raged on this past summer and into the fall, Under Amour‘s Basketball division continued to pivot and make moves. The Baltimore-based brand picked up a new ad agency which helped roll out the impressive “Are You From HERE?” campaign, signed up Kemba Walker and Derrick Williams from the most recent NBA draft class to endorsement deals, received a public boost of encouragement from company chieftain Kevin Plank, and even brought in their lead pro baller to intern at their Tide Point headquarters.
Capturing much of that action and UA’s grassroots growth through the vantage point of Brandon Jennings were three dudes from Brooklyn: Nayim, Sir, and Dan (pictured above from left to right).
The trio unveiled the web exclusive “Under The Armour” series following Brandon across the country into whatever he was into, from Baltimore to Milwaukee to LA and wrapping up the season in NYC.
